Testevent Santander Day 3

Huge waves in all directions and light airs in today's 3 races.

In the first race we finished 8. In the second, we rounded the first mark in 3rd place but then our spinnaker halyard broke! we had to abandon the race. 

In the third race we were again in a good position until the downwind, where we were very slow due to the halyard problems...

We are sitting in 12th position overall it's time to put the turbo!

It was a frustrating and long day, but it's better to brake something in a Testevent ;-)

Tomorrow another 3 races scheduled. 

Testevent Santander Day 1

Very tricky first day. we were sailing close to the beach in 5-12 knts of wind, and big shifts. We finished 11 and 9 in the races. In the second race, we passed the first mark in 3rd position but we completely missed the second upwind, where we lost 6 boats. 

After a sunny day, tomorrow the rain will be back and the forecast predicts very light winds. 

Santander test-event

Nous sommes de retour à Santander pour quelques jours d'entraînement avant le test-event du championnat de monde 2014. Nous profitons de ces quelques jours pour fignoler les derniers détails du nouveau bateau et surtout pour gagner de l’expérience sur ce plan d'eau vraiment compliqué. Entre la houle, les vagues, les courants et une météo complexe, c'est un vrai casse tête pour avancer vite.
Pour couronner le tout, depuis deux jours il pleut et il ne fait pas très chaud.
Enfin, c'est pas ça qui va nous arrêter, il reste 2 jours avant le début de la régate et encore quelques astuces locales à découvrir. Au boulot!
